The rock project
Welcome to the heart of Mikey's Rocks. Hand-painted with care and placed across our community in Harriman, Tennessee, and beyond, each stone carries a journey of courage, love, and remembrance. Pick up a rock, read Mikey's story, and help us pass along hope and comfort to anyone facing the unimaginable.

Why painted rocks carry his voice
I paint all kinds of designs, from uplifting patterns to bright colors, placing our website address right on the back. This project began as a heartfelt way to share my son Mikey's journey from the day he was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma—a rare bone cancer—through his battle and passing. Each stone is an invitation to pause, connect, and remember a brave young soul.

What to do if you find a rock
If you find one of Mikey's rocks, visit the website written on the back and take a moment to read his story. We hope his strength brings comfort to anyone who has lost a child or is walking alongside a child fighting cancer. Once you have read about him, please re-hide the rock in a new spot so Mikey's journey can reach and inspire the next person who needs it.

Join in and keep Mikey's memory alive
You do not have to wait to find a stone to be part of this mission. Anyone is welcome to paint and hide their own rocks in Mikey's memory. Every painted stone helps place his story into someone else's hands, spreading a profound sense of peace, comfort, and enduring hope to all who need it most.
